Cheerleading is all about performance, but of course you want to look fierce and beautiful as well. We have collected some of the best tips & tricks to complete your personal cheer style.
This Week: How to make a perfect cheer ponytail
The absolute basic hair style for cheerleaders: The pony tail. It keeps your hair out of your face and lets you perform without anything disturbing you.
What you need:
Wide Tooth Comb
Shampoo and Conditioner
How to make them:
The best way to start is by washing your hair and preparing it with enough conditioner to make it smooth. Carefully dry it afterwards, your hair mustn’t be wet, to prevent damaging. Afterwards, put the elastics on your wrists and detangle your hair with a Tangle Teezer, a brush or a comb, depending on the thickness of your hair. A detangling spray might also come in handy.
Carefully comb your hair up and back and try not to forget any loose strands. If you have problems with baby hairs on your forehead, a fine-tooth comb and a little hairspray might help to get them all. Now tie your hair into a ponytail and secure it with a bobby pin or two. Make sure to use bobby pins that match your hair color to make them less visible in your hairstyle.
Now add your favourite Cheer Bow and adjust it. Add some hairspray and tease your hair at the ponytail and/or at the top of your head in order to gain more volume. Finish the whole style by securing it with a couple of additional bobby pins and by adding a little more hairspray.
Now you’re ready for your competition.
